    THE SECOND NIGHT

    Another day, another dollar.*

*"dollar" meaning "dead bodies", of course

    Askthepizzaguy's body was found first.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
His body was found with a torn piece of Professor Plum's jacket nearby, and Askthepizzaguy let out a soft whisper before he died. "Killed me with a purple lightsaber, he did."

    Ishmael was found next.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
An icicle was found impaled in his chest, along with the following note:

    sunk by the iceberg

    IT IS NOW DAY TWO.

On the plus side, I won't be lynched as a townie this game. Progress!

    Purple Lightsaber = Chaotix.

    Don't know about Plum though.

Professor Plum is Cluedo, isn't it? Anybody known for playing that?

EDIT: And considering this is a clue mafia, hats off to that mafioso for a thematically appropriate kill.

I think it could be a reference to the Clueless Mafia game which ATPG was known to have been planning to host at one point.

ONLY PERSON ON THE LIST OF SURVIVORS WHO EXPRESSED INTEREST TO THAT GAME IS Captain Blackadder.

I suspect that clue might have something to do with the star wars games who had a purple lightsaber?

I edited the previous post. I remembered the rules which might have prohibited the reasoning I used.

Also, if the entire clue is false, both Chaotix and Edse are innocent, for the record.

I'd place my bet on Chaotix, though.

Why would it be me? Can someone explain this with false and true clues? The clues are split in two parts, is one true and one false or is the entire clue either true or false?

I think I'm not allowed to say why it would be you, in my opinion; gotta ask the game host about that.

Chaotix has Skywalker as avatar so the lightsabre refers to him but it's far too easy and a framing attempt. So you suspect that "torn piece of Professor Plum's jacket" is me. I played cluedo a couple of times during the summer, I have no connection to the colour "plum", I study math but is far from a proffesor and my clothes are often torn but you can't know that.

The first clue is obviously pointed directly at me with bright purple neon lights. I encourage you all to vote me to death for it.

The second one isn't ringing any bells for me. Icicles make me think of The Thing Mafia, but I wasn't in that and don't know who else was... will check later today. Otherwise, icebergs recall the Titanic to mind... but I don't think that's relevant at all.

Your votes have absolutely no relation to your words. Care to explain the scumminess?

The only games I've played on this site have been Capo IV and The Island, neither of which has relationships to any of the clues.

Random votes until I can figure things out.

This game is odd in that it is only the second day but already half the players are dead. There is little in-thread behavior to go by. Unless I solve the clues, all I can do is random vote or the slightly better "gut feeling" vote. And even then, half of the clues will be false.

Not really clear to me whether this means all clues on one day will be true, then the next day false, or whether one clue will be true, then the next false regardless of which day it is. Any chance of clarification, Zacky baby?

I can answer that one based on previous clue games. For a given mafia, clues alternate. This doesn't mean that all the mafia use true on the same day. But if you know a day 1 clue for one of the mafia is true then the corresponding day 2 clue must be false.

Let's assume the clues with the notes go together, and the clues without notes go together. First the notes...

His corpse wasn't very bloody, but it was covered in bruises. A broken drumstick was found near his body, along with the following note:

    octopus... under the sea
An icicle was found impaled in his chest, along with the following note:

    sunk by the iceberg
If day 1 is true then we're looking for someone with connection to drums, octopus, or "under the sea".
If day 2 is true then we're looking for someone with connection to icicles or titanic.

    Now the ones without notes
His body was covered in bloody gashes. A cracked ship-in-a-bottle, with a miniature-sized pirate ship inside, was found lying near the body.
His body was found with a torn piece of Professor Plum's jacket nearby, and Askthepizzaguy let out a soft whisper before he died. "Killed me with a purple lightsaber, he did."
Day 1 true points to pirates, clearly.
Day 2 true points to the color purple, or a clue-ish game. The color purple may really be lightsaber related but maybe not, the color is the repeated element.

My handicap here is that I don't have anywhere near enough knowledge of prior events to be able to know who the clues go with. I'll need a little help with that part... Searching isn't being very fruitful, way too many false hits. I'll give you all I can on the logic side of things.

Living players who were in the Thing Mafia:

    johnhughthom
    Arjos
    Blackadder

None of them were mafia, though. Reenk was mafia. This is probably a dead end.

Have there ever been Titanic references in Org mafia games (or in mafia games outside Org, which I would not have known about)? Maybe somebody who killed with ice in a game?

It's a bit odd how your "random votes" just happen to be on me and DaveShack, and both me and him were close (relatively, that is) to being lynched yesterday. This strikes me as perhaps a bit desperate.
    Vote:Chaotix.
I'm not sold on the Edse case, and I don't really know enough about any of the past games here to try and formulate any solid cases of my own.

    You forgot to bold.

Vote:Chaotix following the previous lightsaber lead. I'll hold off on the other vote to see if there is any progress on the other set of clues. Or any suspicious voting behavior.

Chaotix is exactly the kind that would point a clue at himself which is "too obvious".

For some reason looking through the list of players, I think I can remember robbiecon talking about the Beatles mafia game, I think it was at CFC, so can't check. I can't actually remember the content or context of the post, but meh.
