    Default Carl Sagan day

As you guys know, I'm a fan of astronomy. Carl Sagan being one of my heroes, I found this article quite awesome.

    Carl Sagan day

Its also a day like this that I wish I lived in Florida.

Carl Sagan was awesome, I think the obvious new name for the Very Large Array is the Sagan Array, or something similar.

Carl Sagan is awesome. We need more people like him.

His Cosmos and the Ascent of Man by Bronowski were life-changing, and though I never abandoned humanities, they completely refocused me on science during highschool. At 14 I had begun to plan how I would educate my children because of these documentaries.

I had the opportunity to hear him speak when I was in uni. He was as engaging in person as he was on TV. I was an astronomy major and many of the professors had issue with his simplification of science. However, what they seemed to miss is that Sagan fired the imagination of the listener and I'm sure more than a few of their future students were there at least partly because Sagan inspired them. He made science understandable and interesting to the general population. Thank you Carl.
