The.org music copyright policey

I'm wondering what is the copyright policey here when it comes to music? i was thinking of using gladiator music in one of my mods and i was wondering if it is ok to that? :/

Your mod isn't on the Org, so it doesn't affect anything in your example case

Edit: I assumed it was a personal mod.

On the Org as in hosted on the Org. I presume you will be using mediafire and other free downloaders which people can use. However, copyrighted material is against their terms of service.

I am unsure how Music is modded into total: war, but you could possibly give instructions on people to use their legitimate copy of the song and with a couple of pointers, tell them where to stick it.

The Org doesn't support illegal activities such as hosting and supplying copyrighted material without permission or not deemed fairuse. You would probably get any download links pulled if you say they contained anything like that as well.

Anything you distribute, must be your own work, not someone else's. If you produce your own graphics/sounds, you're free to distribute them, if you use someone else's material you need their permission. And if you're planning on using "commercial" stuff, such as graphics and sounds lifted from other games or films and distributing that, etc - forget it.

Caravel and Tiaexz already said all that needed to be said, just adding my voice to this. No, it's not ok. Either you use original work to put in your mod or you get permission from the owners of the intellectual property you intend to use in your mod.

Please note that any links to a download which violates that will probably be treated the same as links to sites who offer illegal downloads and might have severe repercussions on your account here at the .Org. Not to mention possible consequences IRL for copyright violation.
