Yes, that's right, it's back for a second go! I apologize for the first one, I feel that, looking back, I was a bit biased(Pro-Confederate, if not obvious). Therefore, I'm doing this remake in the spirit of, "Both sides took disastrous defeats and thus the grey gallahads are not supermen".
New Brigade-Division-Corps system too!
Here are the new Brigade units, which will be the same size for both sides:
Infantry Brigade - 2,000 Men
Cavalry Brigade - 1,000 Men
Artillery Battery - 100 Men + 4 Guns
Artillery Batteries can be attached to Infantry and Cavalry Divisions and Corps. Additionally, there may be 30 Artillery batteries per army, and 20 Cavalry brigades per army. This means that, at most, you can have 120 Guns(and their crews!) and 20,000 Cavalry in your army, with the rest Infantry.
Players still can make their own armies. And I have a map this time. I'll post it with the armies' locations on the first turn.
Speaking of which, PLEASE TELL WHERE YOUR ARMY IS LOCATED. Thanks. :)
Therefore, the format for claiming an army is this:
Name of Army Leader Strength(Numbers of Brigades, and the type of Brigades) Location/HQ(PLEASE be specific, don't just say "Pennsylvania" or "Virginia")
Armies:
Union:
Army of Pennsylvania - 120,000 Men + 120 Guns - Location: Harrisburg, PA - Kagemusha
Department of the West - 49,800 Men + 60 Guns - Location: St. Louis, MO - OPEN
Men remaining: 1,830,200
Confederate:
Army of Mississippi - 41,400 Men + 56 Guns - Location: Corinth, MS - OPEN
Men remaining: 958,600
As an armchair critic of the last one, it is only right to dauble myself this time. Put me down for the Union as well.
I gather I need to sort out a standing army - what are the limits on that?
"Some people say MTW is a matter of life or death - but you have to realise it is more important than that" With apologies to Bill Shankly

Welcome to the Union team Kurt! Now we only need some Johny Rebs to fight against.

Max of 120,000 men in a Union army
Max of 20 Cavalry Brigades
Max of 30 Artillery Batteries
Aside from that, you're fine :)
