    Default Boston

    Any orgahns from beantown?

I'm not exactly a stranger to the place but will be here for a couple weeks and would love to know what obscure cultural stuff is going on.

I have a cousin who ran a pub in Boston in the 80s.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

I've been there about 1/2 a dozen times. My baby sister and her husband *a chemist researcher at Harvard* live west of Boston. Things on my "to do list" next time I'm there is China Town & Trinity Church. There is also a Freedom Trail walking tour I'd like to check out. Somewhere near the Public Garden is the pub from "Cheers", I'd like to see that and quaff a brew while sitting on Norm's barstool. I have been to Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market. They had shows/street performers, shopping and great places to eat. The Harvard Museum of Natural History & the Arboretum is pretty cool too. Other places I can reccomend and are reasonably priced: Coolidge Corner Theatre, Sam Adams Brewery, Sacco's Bowl Haven *bowling & billiards*.
    Have a great time Vlad.

My cousins' pub was just on the right of the bridge over the river. They did a great Lincolnshire sausage, mash and gravy. The beer was ok, not great but drinkable.

Thanks Hosa and IA (clever, but the wrong one )! I've been here a few times and try to avoid the tourist areas. Little Italy is one of the best "cash only" areas I've been to. It's so good to have amazing and fresh coffee brewed with care.

I have a well worn Sox hat and am whiter than most Irish so I fit right in. I was also trying to think of how many orgers were from MA and couldn't think of any. One thing is for sure, I'm missing the hell out of my Minecraft game. Maybe I should finally buy a laptop.

Make sure you visit the Boston Museum of Science and the Omni theater that is in there. The movies are very entertaining.

There is a planitarium across the hall. Go to a Pink Floyd laser light show that evening? Bring mary jane as a date though.

My cousins surname is Warner! Coincidence? I think not.
