Thread: Encyclopaedia for S2R+ v2.96.3 (unofficial)
asinkering 00:18 12-07-2011
Attached is the latest, complete, and should be the final version of the encyclopaedia patch for S2R+ version 2.96.3. It now covers everything that is needed for seamless integration between the mod and the encyclopaedia, including: all the land/naval units, unit classes, buildings, techs, and clans pages.

Example screenshot of a clan page with the list of its accessible units:

Again besides the obvious benefits of having the encyclopaedia usable in-game, this will allow us to understand s2r+ faster and perhaps help spot potential oversight, if any, in relevant part of S2R+ easily without having to play all the factions directly. The use of automated script for generating this also implies that some types of inconsistencies/typos will be detected during the process (I'll post my findings seperately to the bug report thread).

We make an unofficial translation for the shogun 2. And this script could be a very-very big help to this work.
But I can't use this...

- I have installed the cygwin
- I have exported the tsv files
- I have run the s2twdoc_units.sh
- But the program has not found the files...

What have I done wrong?

Sorry. It runs fine.
I have executed only with this "encyclopedia/scripts/s2twdoc_units.sh". And I have not navigated to the script folder...

But the generated html files match for the shogun 2 older version... Not for the current version...
- missing BOM
- wrong menu links ("../buildings.html" => "../building_index_choice.html")
- etc...

But, anyway, it is a very big help for me.

Thanks!

Hi, you're welcome - but since I didn't post the script here, questions/comments regarding it should only go to the twcenter thread instead.

Btw. just applied it, it helps certainly a lot, but in some instances it matches not anymore the current build (was already with 2.96.3 the case). Anyway, in general it'll help to get an idea, compared to vanilla Encyclopaedia without doubt.

This encyclopedia really helps even tho it's not up to date with current version. Thanks!

Yes.

Maybe asinkering has time and fun to update his work when final S2R+ v3.0 is released.

How do I uninstall it and get the original encyclopedia back?

Remove the files that are offered with this Encyclopaedia mod, probably the 'encyclopaedia' folder in data folder.
Then go Steam online, and use 'file verification' or what the name was.

That worked. Thanks!

Only uninstalling it for multiplayer, btw. I really like it!
