It was a similar case for me as well ^^, I remember hearing about the project years ago but ultimately got distracted by other things and lost all track of it. It was only a few days ago that I learned that it wasn't only alive but saw just how much they had accomplished. Needless to say pretty much all of my free time the last few days have been taffered away by it.Originally Posted by frogbeastegg
I've only been able to tackle a few of the maps so far out of the list so I can't reference too many just yet, but I'll keep a record of the human based maps that strike me as really well done as I go along and leave a post for you later. It seems there are a few people here who know about the project as well and probably have gotten to explore more of the maps already, if anyone else has some suggestions towards that and would like to share I'd be interested and appreciate it as well!
I understand if it's not as interesting for you or your cup of tea, but the occult maps I've played so far are fantastic as well. It seems that the Doom 3 engine gives the map creators a fair bit of bit of freedom in how they script events and the environment, and a lot of people have put that to really creative use.
No frogbeast sightings so far! If I see any I'll be sure to let them know their big sister says hello.
The sword fighting can look and feel a bit clunky for sure, but I try and forgive it as usually combat like that is a last resort, and I try and keep a flash bomb on my belt when possible for that type of situation. Still, it's something that they could definitely improve on.Originally Posted by Vuk
