Don't bother, just eat fruit instead.

Considering most smoothies use dairy products how is eating fruit the same? Fruit juice =/= smoothie. Whirly blades does not equivalent make.

Yoghurt, banana, tablespoon of peanut butter, milk, and optional is a scoop of whey protein.

    Peaches, bananas and milk.
Make sure you freeze the fruit before you make this.

Never said the two were equivalent. Just saying that fruit is a healthier option.

Fruit juice with the pulp (fibre & vitamins) removed is a less healthy choice then fruit.

A smoothy using the whole fruit has several advantages over just fruit.

A liquified meal will leave a person feeling fuller longer then the same food quantity as solids and liquids in the same quantity as the combined meal.

Milk has protein and fats. The protein in milk is second only to eggs in the ability for the body to utilize. Fat in addition to being used in hormone production can also lower the GI value of a meal thereby lowering sugar spikes.

So a milk based smoothy will keep a person feeling satiated longer, provide more protein and lower sugar spikes compared with a piece of fruit alone.

Of course if you are lactose intolerant your mileage will be more musical.

A good sized papaya with the juice of an orange. Milk is optional.
