Diamondeye thought he was safe. After all, people died during the day, not at night. He was sleeping quite soundly when the intruder sneaked inside his house, and barely even flinched when the axe split his head wide open. Bloody brains were spattered across the bedroom like a macabre expressionist painting. The assailant kept swinging, chopping the victim to tiny bits and making an awful mess of the place.


Diamondeye thought he was safe. Now he doesn't think about much of anything.

Short answer is that I have no idea what the hell is going on. I am guessing that the Darklings are represented in the black names left on the alive list. That means at least one of the three of you are scum. I have had my reservations against AA for a while now, as evidenced by my one and only visit to someone since I have been sick. I don’t have any tangible evidence or analysis that I can point to, other than my instinct. I am also just coming off of a game at CFC where I didn’t follow my instinct and should have.

After voting for AA I realized that DaveShack is also one of the three non-sick players left alive, and his vote right out of the gate for AA could be suspicious if he were scum and was trying to divert attention away from himself early in the day and onto another, innocent, non-sick player. I am assuming that we are nearing the end game here, and this is when the Darklings may have to take some more risks to direct things the way they want them to go. This could be just one example.

I know this is somewhat contradictory with my vote on AA, but I am just calling it as I see it.

The reason I was trying to "divert" attention onto Ishmael was this that he was acting scummier than Visor in every game combined. If you want to talk about the Landlubber incident, go ahead, but I have no idea what we would talk about. I've said it multiple times: I had no idea what was going on. I still don't. It was the weirdest thing to ever happen to me in a mafia game.

What's pushing us this way is that Arjos has been posting scummier-than-Visor things for the past 2 days. Ishmael was too.

Chaotix simply couldn't sleep that night. He hardly ever slept anymore. The constant, agonizing pain of feeling his skin rotting right off of his flesh, sleeping on open sores, and going quietly mad from the burning, itching, and aching... how could he sleep?

Worse, he knew there were only two ways to stop this pain. Annihilate all of the Darklings and put an end to his curse, or embrace sweet, sweet death.

Death was looking ever more welcoming by the minute. He was disappointed when the death of Arjos brought him no relief. Perhaps it was simply his time.

His time.




Then he heard sounds outside his window. Insane with paranoia, he stood by the wall holding an iron fireplace poker, ready to swing down on anyone who might enter.

"Hark! Hark! I have come for you, my darling! Do not fret, for I have brought an end to pain and suffering. Come to me, and let me wipe away your tears!"

Chaotix couldn't comprehend what this person was saying or why they were saying it. Like a wild, cornered animal, the soothing words only made Chaotix grip the handle of his weapon even tighter. Trust was inconceivable for Chaotix now; an idea now alien to him.

"We are both suffering, my fair one. You are suffering a disease of the body, and I am afflicted with a terrible ailment of the heart. I cannot bear to be without you. And I cannot bear to watch you suffer."





Chaotix waited, as the figure rapped at the window, and then slowly opened it. Chaotix swung his weapon, and knocked the intruder to the floor. It was a glancing blow, but Chaotix still had enough fight left in him to daze the intruder. Maybe it was the anger and frustration that gave him strength... perhaps it was the paranoia.

As the intruder moaned in pain, Chaotix stepped forward to finish the job. But suddenly, he felt his strength give out, and he collapsed in a sore, swollen heap on his bed. He almost passed out from the pain, but he struggled to keep conscious. He watched, helplessly, as the intruder stood, brandishing an axe.

"Don't be afraid, my sweet one. It will be over in a moment. There will be no more pain, and you will not have to watch your friends die. Embrace the sweet salvation that I bring to your doorstep, for it is my final bittersweet act of love for you. Be brave.... be brave. Close your eyes. I want to sing you a soothing melody to calm your nerves."





Chaotix was terrified, but could muster no more strength. He closed his eyes and listened.







"Hush-a-bye

Go to sleep, my darling baby.

When you wake

It LOOKS like the only anti-town at this point is the witch's lover-turned-SK, and that Darkling roles weren't revealed on death (otherwise Dave and/or I could be Darklings (although I'm pretty damn sure I'm not one, but with these game mechanics...) and this is under the assumption that the Darklings can't infect themselves).

That means it could be anyone. Again.

I still think that the mafia are not infected (but who knows with this game set up), but mostly because I think that Double A could be our lover/SK. We have our 1st kill when Double A is active, then no kills, and surprise Double A is not active in thread, now he is back active again and we have another kill last night. Not such a coincidence me thinks.
