He already did, and you congratulated him on his analysis.

Now stop making these silly votes and vote to leave limbo.

Well given that the round is 24 hours and no one has even bothered to find suspects, explain why leaving limbo is a winning move, or discuss the situation, I resign.

    There’s a place called limbo
On this side of the wall
    There’s a place called limbo
But it ain’t no place at all
    Tryin’ to be patient-
    I’m waitin’ for a call

    That letter hasn’t come yet
The phone didn’t ring, it’s true
And though I haven’t won yet
I’ll tell you what I’ll do

    I’ll be Leaving Limbo
Though they say odds are not strong
    I’ll be Leaving Limbo
‘Cause I can prove them wrong
That door will swing wide open
    And I’ll move right along

I'm going to take a wild guess that the free spirit win condition is getting enough to vote to leave limbo. Like a cult that openly recruits. Judging by the votes, and the fact we're still voting, they are not strong enough to just win outright yet. We need to resist the urge, and gang up on those who claim there is an easy way out.

Zack, you were the first one to vote to leave limbo. How did you find out about this possibility?

Scottishranger, you were the first to point out a connection between leaving limbo and Little 'Uns "uniting". What do you mean?

Montmorency, you voted to leave limbo a few days ago, are now dead, but keep repeating you will leave limbo in the future. Is there a minimum bangwagon size needed for the vote to go through?

    (edit: premature "Reply" press, sorry.)

Because we needed more votes, you big bully.

But the Lttle Ones are too numerous. You can't lynch us all. You can't lynch your power base.

"More votes" is not answer to "is there a minimum." Besides, if it is to a Little 'Un's advantage to vote to leave limbo, why is DaveShack convinced that it is a Free Spirit ploy?

    DAY FOUR

Hunger. Painful, gnawing hunger. Most of the remaining members of the Tribe were subdued by it to the point of silence and sat around listlessly, trying to drum up the energy to do anything that might change their predicament. A few managed to head out and set the traps in the hope that there might be something for the pot the following day, but the fear of being killed in the night had clearly begun to psychologically scar those that had survived so far - significantly enough that two of the smaller children took it apon themselves for a second day to attempt to persuade the children to leave the camp... indeed: To leave Limbo.

Growing ever bolder in their calls for an exodus, their plan began to draw criticism. An undecided youngster - Askthepizzaguy, clearly famished to the point of confusion, apparently changed his mind several times before returning to his claim of previous days that the Little 'un known as 'scottishranger' was a Free Spirit and at the end of the day, the result of the vote was a tie between Leaving Limbo and doing away with scottishranger.

No-one could come to any conclusion however and as the vast majority had not voted at all it was decided that nothing should be done until everyone had got some more sleep. Perhaps no-one would be killed in the night! someone piped up.... and then hopefully, someone else muttered - if something had been caught in the night, that some breakfast might help.
    Not everyone seemed particularly convinced.

    NIGHT FOUR

Set at the edge of the campground against the inner wall, a tumbledown shack propped itself - half-heartedly contributing to the structure of the camp. Its walls held up; more by force of habit and an exhuberant beard of moss, than through proficient carpentry: The shack was home to the Cursed Child tasked with the duty of operating the huge model spider which hung over the entrance to the Western Gate. The spider creaked and swung in the wind like a harmless giant puppet, but it's heavy limbs could be sent crashing earthbound by a simple set of cogs and gears and operation of a lever. Not many of the tribe enjoyed the solitary post and the delapidated building was mainly occupied by the cursed child who had come to be known as Daveshack, who now stood and shivered with the mixture of cold and adrenalin - his eyes flitting between shadows as he searched for any sign of threat.

Even so - Daveshack was unprepared for the stealth with which his predator approached, but he was so keyed up with fear and survival instinct that when the figure behind him spoke, 'You can't stop it happening Dave' - his legs began beating a path away from his post, and the voice, and out of the camp into the night - almost before his brain instructed them to do so.

As quickly as Daveshack ran, his speed could not prevent the shallow stab of a spear lifting a diamond of flesh from his back, baring the white bone of his shoulder blade to the breeze. Daveshack yelped but kept his footing and did not pause as he pounded even faster away.
The ground slid from under him as he hit a steep slope of scree and he half ran - half fell into a warren of moss covered rocks and dark overhangs.

Holding his arms out in front of his face, Daveshack felt the slap of ancient creepers and the rake of branches as he thundered onward, but the sharp breathing of his pursuer seemed as steady as the foot falls that followed him.

Bouncing from the edge of the gully Dave stumbled and then found himself hanging in the air - his limbs windmilling helplessly as he tumbled through the dark - the breath knocked suddenly from his body and a sickening crunching sound as his ankle struck the rocky ground. Above him he heard the footsteps of his pursuer halt and then step forward... forward to the edge of the hole down which Daveshack had plummeted.

'Oh you don't want to be down there Daveshack... I've seen what lives down there' the voice of his tormentor hissed down at him.

Daveshack heard himself sobbing, but fought to lift himself onto his remaining working leg and began to hobble forward.

All about him was black. The pitch dark that made the small circle of wooded night above him almost gleam by comparison. shuffling on his hands and foot and dragging the splintered mess of his other, Daveshack clawed desperately away from the hole - searching for a way - some passage that might lead him to safety. His hands became tangled in what felt like dusty thread, and as Dave collapsed to the floor he felt himself stuck to it - immobilized by some cloying material which seemed to coat the floor of the cave into which the boy had fallen.

A skittering noise immediately in front of Dave caused his heart to take a sudden beat in reverse. Dave strained his neck in order to look up into the velvet blackness in front of his eyes. Then pale glowing circles began to pop into being before him, as the dread spider opened its own eyes to inspect its latest prey.

The beast filled the space before the prostrate Daveshack - a huge sack of guts and goassamer, suspended in the night atop its eight fearsome legs. Each limb folded and moved in three sections and each of those measured ten feet or more, ending at deftly cruel spikes - but this, of course, was lost on poor Daveshack and he remained blind to the horror that loomed before him in the dark.

With invisibly quick and gentle movements, Dave was plucked from the ground by the Spider's forelimbs and he quickly lost consciousness as the beast began to spin him about in the air - thick, pungent cords of web attached to a thin strong mesh which clung to him as if he'd been taped up in rubbish sacks.

The child who had pursued him glimpsed Daveshack - now coated completely in a cocoon of web - being attached to the ceiling of the spiders' lair, and smirked before leaping to his feet and running back through the night to the camp.

When morning came there would be no sign of Daveshack, and the Tribe would be one step closer to destruction.

IT IS NOW DAY FIVE - PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE! THERE WILL BE STRICT PENALTIES FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT. Day will end in approximately 36 - 48 hours.
