Come on, you know you want to
Here is a screenshot from my current campaign, Danes/High/Hard/My custom home mod based on XL Tyberius 2.3:
Wish I could join this little Menage a Trois... I've been helping the Mongols out ever since my war with the Russians began. With high valor spies (one is at v.7) and strategic invasions the baby blue scourge is kept in check and my steppe dwelling friends are protected. The Cumans do tend to suffer in the crossfire though...
This one shows one of my favorite ways of warfare, the good ol' pike and shot. Perfectly dressed with flanking support, they would make Alexander the great himself proud. The eastern flat lands provide an ideal environment for my Danes to roll over the enemy head on.
This picture shows what's going on in the rest of Europe while I'm battling it out in the east. I've been mainly turtling and building up my provinces, but in doing so I have let the Portuguese establish themselves in the chaotic former French lands. Continuing sabotage by my cunning v.5-7 spies ensure that those rich French lands become nothing but a money sink for the green imperialists...
Another battle screenshot. Here I'm lining up against the Russians, with my 7 star king having set out with a full stack and fought his way across several steppe provinces, sacking, ransoming and looting before moving on to the next target. However, the king is old... might he succumb to the strenuous way of life in enemy lands, his army would certainly be lost as well. If god wills it, that is.
It's funny - here we have the dastardly Serbs usurping the throne of the eastern Roman empire, while nobody was paying attention. They even have a similar design on their flag, so not all is turned upside down. Better to leave the city of the big C in confident and fresh hands than let it stagnate and fall to some infidel Turk or Egyptian...
So, tell us about your exploits, whether it be just a single skirmish or a grand epic campaign![]()
