Shepard's Xenophily in Mass Effect

Is anyone else disappointed by the lack of romantic options in the Mass Effect series? They so clearly push you into making love with as many aliens as possible by making the humans so unattractive in comparison.

They set up ME1 between a racist human and a shy, quiet, scientific humanoid alien. ME2 was between Yvonne Strahovski and Tali. But Tali as we all know, is pretty much the equivalent of a mystery box. What's in the mystery box? For all we know, another Yvonne Strahovski. Look all I am saying is that, Shepard's xenophily is pretty much canon.
