I'm of the opinion that we have some real lurkers here. I mean throughout the last few days we've had so few posts, lots of people not voting or giving more than one post a day. People that aren't sticking their neck out and are hiding. Someone in that group is likely to be a killer. Of course I also still suspect edse who somehow is able to silently deflect suspicion without raising a fuss every time there's a vote on him.

Yes, that's exactly what I do. I'm pretty damn useless when I'm a vanilla townie, because I don't have any idea what to do when there's no information.
One game, I had a role that limited me to 5 posts per day phase. On some people that would be a serious restriction, I'd only care if it was a role where I had to post more than twice.

My dear General: After accusing you of being TOO townie, I took my vote off you because I have complete sympathy regarding your OOC complaints about the 'state of mafia games today'. I really hope that you weren't/aren't pulling the wool over our eyes with that line, but I'm choosing to believe you for now as you have posted some helpful stuff. If you had'nt posted by now I would have definitely put my vote back on you today. However, there is still the problem that you are almost top of my list for setting off alarm bells when it comes to 'intuitive scum-reading' - If either Visor or Monty are scum then I'll eat my own heart. Daveshack seemed a good option but I like his response. Fluffy's 'I eat pain' comment in a previous post stood out for me, but a mere FoS at that crazy mother for now. Nope - TOp of the pops when it comes to tickling my tingleys is Lewwyn. Something about the 'righteousness' that seems a bit forced.

That's a link to a Realms Beyond Mafia game that I'm currently in. It put this one to shame. It's still on the first day and there are already 282 posts from 17 players and the host. Most posts are longer and informative, inquisitive and legitimately argumentative even on day 1. Everyone posts or you get lynched. It's pretty much the exact opposite from here. It's one of the reasons I get upset when no one is posting or I get attacked because I post. I guess one of the differences is there are is no out of thread communication unless you are in a scum pack. It makes it harder on the village, and thus one of the reasons everyone pushes so hard in thread. If you want to know where my "righteousness" comes from its knowing the difference between the games.

Also Lewwyn, different people, different site, different kind of play, etc all make for a different game.

Regardless, an important fact to remember is that the more you talk, the more likely you are to slip as scum or make a mistake. Which is why that tactic works. However, it will no doubt catch townies too, and the fact that we always have lurkers should not be a surprise to you. The length of the days may also have something to do with it. I do like discussion, and I post a lot, or at least I used to before life intervened.

Regardless of this, I'm not suspicious because of the fact you post, I'm suspicious of what you said. And to hide behind a lurker crusade is easy for scum, even if they start it, because often lynching all lurkers is a win-win situation for scumbags.

Yep. I also adopted this stance in Buffy, where I was townie. It's just sort of who I am.
