Question How do you select unit portraits that are not next to each other?

Now i know to select all units, you do ctrl+A. To select portraits that are next to each other, you do shift+click. But i cannot for the love of god figure out how to select them when they are not of the same type or right next to each other.

For example, say the portraits were in this position:

    A B C D E A B C

I want to select D and both B's, both cant because shift click doesnt work. Please help me. I've looked everywhere for this but i know it works because i saw it in a video.

Also it would be helpful if somebody told me how to move portraits. Thank you.

Control + click should do it.

Also: Ctrl+I selects all infantry, Cltrl+A all missile units and Ctrl+C all cav units. Cheers!

Ctrl+A selects all units. If you want to select all missile units you should use Ctrl+M.
