Thread: P-Celtic Languages.

  1. #1

    Default P-Celtic Languages.

How was it reconstructed? Also, if I were to speak it to a Welsh bloak, would he understand any of it?

It'd be nice to be able to converse in languages of teh EB timeframe... :)

    1. In the same way as other languages, you take the lexicons of extant Celtic languages (Irish, Scots Gaelic, Welsh and Breton) and the lexicons of extinct Celtic languages, or at least as much of them as you have (Gaullish, Lepontic, Cornish and Manx) and work back, retaining the nouns and grammer most held in common as these will be the nouns and grammatical features which are likely the most archaic in the language.

    2. Yes, not all of it but quite a few bits.
