    Default Stronghold: Kingdoms

    Stonghold: Kingdoms is the most engrossing game I've played in years. Download it for STEAM here I've spent 346 hours on this thing to date. As reference, I've spent a total of 412 hours on Empire, Napoleon and Shogun COMBINED. I only got the game in March...

    Its not a super intense game, but it is super complex and a massively multiplayer, persistent world that is also FREE. It's not a very hands-on game and you can do other stuff while "playing" it. It'd kind of like gardening. Design your own detailed heraldic coat-of-arms. Create lasting factions and fight wars for chivalric Houses. And Castle build your heart out. Really awesome game. It's like mount and blade for nerdier nerds.
