    Default Focus on... Mimes! (Small Mafia Game) [Concluded]

    Circus has come to the town!


    It is second game from my 'focus on' series. This time, I want to take closer look at mimes. There are different approaches to this role. At their simplest, they are team of jesters (they win when they all get lynched). Sometimes, they have factional ability, either to roleblock someone, or to protect someone. I decided for a little bit more complicated approach, that is described below.


    There are three teams in this game:

    Mimes. 3x mimes. They win if all three are killed in the same way (lynched or killed at night, no matter by whom). They have their own factional qt, and factional ability – they can roleblock one player every night (they must designate one player who will do that). If one mime gets lynched and the second gets killed at night, they both lose (mime’s team defeat), but the remaining mime changes role into ‘vengeful mime’ – a serial killer with only one shot (so he can still win, but it would be rather hard for him).

    Mafia. 3x mafia goon. They win if they are at least half of living players, and mimes victory conditions has not been achieved. They can kill at night (they must designate one player who will do that)

    Town. 8x vanilla townie. 1x compulsive vigilante (must attack someone every night). 1x jailkeeper (may ‘jailkeep’ one player per night – simultaneously roleblock and protect him; he acts before all other players). They win when mafia and mimes are eliminated, and mimes victory conditions has not been achieved.

    Faction victories are mutually exclusive. For example, game ends at the very moment when all mimes have been killed at the same fashion.
    It's possible for Mimes and Mafia to both achieve their victory condition at the same time - in this instance, the Mime's victory will happen.

    EDIT: One more special situation: If the mimes are the only players alive, they can lynch themselves. So, if no one of them was killed in other fashion, they win. But if there are 2 mimes at the end of the game and one mime was earlier killed at night, the mimes lose.


    This game is based partially on the Marseille Mafia
