My bet is that the feelings are about the same as the feelings the prussian germans faced when they moved to germany after ww2...

I don't know how similar they are (not very, says my gut) allthough Prussians were indeed not necessarily popular with other Germans. Adenauer in particular; Der Spiegel once had an article about some newly released documents suggesting that he wanted to give away west Berlin to the eastern bloc to gain Leipzig and some surrounding territory; because he disliked all things Prussian in general (in part because he was a staunch protestant catholic) and Berlin in particular.
