kooking for a casual game

I've been looking for a casual game I can spend some time on. Most things on facebook seem to be farmville clones.
Are there some interesting casual games out there?

Have played seetles beta but lost intrest, I have started supremacy but it looked to much like risk, ...

Anything by PopCap, especially Plants vs Zombies. If you like Bejeweled clones, go for Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords.

Oooh that is not a casual game! I take zombies invading my garden very seriously.
That thing is still installed on my system. I've finished the main 'story' thrice.

Yes, PvZ is superb, though a bit easy. If you have an iPad and an interest in pinball, I also highly recommend Pinball Arcade. Unlike most pinball games which create their own stuff, it is exact replicas of real pinball games, including my favorite of all time, Medieval Madness. It also works very well with the iPad touch interface. I works on an iPhone, but I don't recommend it there because the screen is too small.

I have no real interest in fabricated pinball boards. I love replicas of the real thing, because I love the real thing. I hope some day to have a Medieval Madness cabinet in my house.

What other suggestions do you need? SPAZ is a great space sim, and PvZ is PvZ. :P

Looking at my own Steam list, I can suggest Uplink, Solar 2, Recettear, HOARD, Dwarfs!?, and Audiosurf.

i think i play less ck2 than the average angry bird owners plays that game :P

"Casual" usually means accessibility, AKA how easy is it for someone with no gaming experience to start the game and play it. If a game requires an in-depth tutorial or manual, it's probably not a casual game. Thus, someone who is defined primarily as a casual gamer will see gaming as a secondary hobby rather than a primary hobby. Compare this with a primarily-defined hardcore gamer, who sees games as a primary hobby, or a professional gamer who sees gaming as a full-time job they make money off of.

If you play Bejeweled 8 hours a day, it would still be a casual game. Time sink isn't really a requirement for a game to be casual or hardcore.

The difference between casual games and most 'hard-core' games is that you can quit every 15 minutes or so. If I start up a total war game, I know I need at least 2 hours of free time.

I cant believe I forgot to mention Dungeons of Dredmor. At 70% off, the complete edition is cheaper than a burger. Oh, and did I mention that the latest expansion pack is free?
It's my favorite game of 2011.

Hardly a casual game though.

Forgot recommending 'puzzle quest' by the PP, fun rpg puzzle hybrid, you fight your enemies with bejeweled. As strange as that may sound it works brilliantly, it really is it's own game instead of a fun idea

supremacy is not risk my friend. its incredibly complex in comparison. nor is it casual.

I seem to have a knack for it as im doing well in 7 of my 8 games but i have a few gripes. Mainly their gold makr system listen i understand they have to make money but there are people willing to spend a 100 dollars to win a mere game and i can tcompete with that. it essentially breaks the game and im too low rank to meet up with the guys who play gm free games. luckily it seems my natural intelligence makes up for that (nothing makes you realize how many stupid people are on this planet than a browser based game)

i would recommend trying diplomacy. go to webdiplomacy.net and try it out. ive played hundreds of games there.
