Apple has just announced its new 'smart' pedometer today, that will be able to count your steps, distance traveled, and calories burnt. The announcement has sparked controversy from Republicans and Democrats alike. While Obama has stated that he believes it is not a threat to the country, sources inside the White House have suggested that Defense Secretary Robert Gates has been urging the President to take aggressive action. House Speaker Boehner has said that Apple's new pedometer is responsible for wide-spread human rights abuse, and if left unchecked, may become nuclear. President Obama's administration has insisted that the device will be run on nuclear power, but it will not weaponize it. Apple has refused to comment on these developments, stating only that the new pedometer - the iRan - will soon be a common household name.
