End of Day 1

Mount Greythorn was named after the the mercenary turned general Manuel Greythorn, who seized the Vale from Ralok's forces. After taking the town, and foring Ralok's men out, he chased them up the Mountain which was thusfar unnamed, and eventually cornered and captured them. On the way however, he became obsessed with the Mountain, taking frequent trips to the Mountain for unknown reasons. One day he just didn't come back. It was the story that parents tell their kids to warn them about exploring dangerous places. No-one really believed that there was anything magical about the mountain though.

Whilst the ragtag band started to ascend the Mountain, accusations were thrown and fights started that guards had to break up. Tensions were running high. The Captain collected the votes from everyone and announced a large tie. Johnhughthom saw his chance. Double A had been stole his girlfriend years ago, his first love. He had never forgiven him or her for that. He always held a soft spot for her, but he could never get back with her after she left him. He blamed Double A for all the trouble he had had to deal with over the years. Now he would have his revenge.

"Double A, my vote goes to you!" He yelled smugly.

Murmered whispers were heard all around the caravan.

The Duke ordered the men to drag Double A up to the front of the caravan. "You have been sentenced to death by popular demand. I am sorry it has had to come to this, but we have no choice."

Double A started crying silently, as the blade was pulled from the scabbard and readied. "Hold him."

He struggled, but the guards had not let go of him, and had very strong grips. The blade was pulled back, then thrusted into Double A's gut, and blood spurted out of his mouth onto the Duke and the guards. He fell to the ground, convulsing and finally died.

"Throw the body down away from the camp, we rest now. Search him and his belongings, tell me if he was a killer."

The guards nodded, and later returned with the report the Double A was probably not a killer. This was bad. Matthias held his head in his hands.

Hmmmm, why no love for multiple tie?

It would just be the first tie breaker vote (or unvote) to win it, anyhow. Rules I believe state that ties at closing time will keep voting open until someone, anyone takes the lead.
