Andres was responding to calls to lynch an early replacement, although the rationale behind lynching DoubleA is somewhat solid. However, DoubleA could just as easily be a pro town role as a mafia. The only pro town roles I see in the write ups are the Duke and his Captain, so if there are only 2 of them we would definitely need to bring one back. Keep in mind the mafias also want each other dead, so if Atheotos were scum it is a win-win for him

I am opposed to lynching DoubleA this turn. To be fair to Atheotos, he did not actually vote for DoubleA
I am also opposed to lynching Andres for responding to a knee jerk idea by Atheotos

Looking back at it, it doesn't say, so Csargo is indeed right. while AA is not dead, he is not alive/active either!

Or it is possible that the host reaized maybe he jumped the gun on announcing DBL A as a replacement. And so he hasn't anounced who DBL A is replacing.

On page 5 he did, in fact, say Double A is no longer dead, he is a replacement. Which led everyone to believe that his new role would be announced soon. After which Atheotos called for his death, using the rationale that since the round got extended someone did not send in orders, followed by a replacement = inactive role

Could be a conundrum we are in

So whats more likely?

End of Day 2

An ominous wind blew through the camp. The mountain was not a very friendly place. One of the horses had slipped off the side to its death earlier. Death was everywhere. The stench of pain and fear and torment hung over the camp. Flies buzzed around them as the sun beat down. But still they marched on, hoping to find a way to end the killings.

The town was beset by fear. Three more of their comrades had been slain, and the culprits were nowhere to be found. It took them over half the day to realise that they would never capture the killers if they didn’t lynch someone. Andres was the chosen target. He walked up to Matthias by himself, shrugging off the guards hands. “You are just as bad as the killers themselves, killing off your own townspeople.”

“I do what is necessary for our people to survive. I do what no-one else here has the guts to do. And now, you shall face justice.”

Andres scowled as the guards rushed towards him and held him still as the Duke first punched Andres in the face and then pulled out his dagger and split him open. Andres gasped as the blood poured out faster than a raging torrent. He collapsed in a heap and the guards dragged him into the back of the camp. After searching his belongings, they concluded that he was not the killer.

Summary: Andres has been lynched. He ws town.
