Multiplayer Clan - Map Competition

Tomisama, this sounds very interesting.

Just to make sure I have understood it correctly:

Any participating Clan member or team of Clan members (two, three or four) can arrange a Classic Battle with anyone online not in their Clan, and in winning that battle get a point credit for each of the enemy players defeated.

You mean a clan can fight anyone to gain points - it does not have to be another clan taking part in this competition, right?

Yes, a Clan’s members can fight anyone to gain points.

I know everyone’s first impression is to imagine seasoned Classic players taking advantage, only picking fights with those unfamiliar with the Classic Battles mode. But isn’t that the same as we have with the Avatar game? The better difference here being that the as-yet-unskilled will have an equal opportunity to beat their hosts, having equal access to all assets of the game, unlike Avatar. And don’t we all have to learn somehow? My hopes is that once folks who have only played Avatar get a taste of Classic, that they will then understand why the Total War series multiplayer has enjoyed such a long life.

Some things have changed in the plan since posting the above.

Clans need not register or provide a list of players, but all players playing for Clan points need to have their Clan’s moniker on their player name.

The first sixteen province test map will be up soon, and we will give it a try

As wins are reported the scores tally up until all provinces are owned.

I left the "CLAN 00" place-holder visable to show how Clan ID and score entries would be presented.

Of course there will not be any at the start.
