Every day I go to my fora. Everyday the same thread is there. The same bum is hawking his links which probably contain viruses at most and terrible footy news at least.

I have been allowed to get away with personal attacks and bad words. I probably should have had 3 or 4 temp bans. Without parameters I lose all forms of the "social graces." Hurt feelings abound in the fora.

I throw myself at your feet Moshe. Dear leader, please save me from myself. I need structure.

This not an attack on leader #2. I realize Ms.Poppins has other obligations as a red cloak.

I also realize I could police myself, but there's no fun in that.

Perhaps we should assign a moderator to Strike, like we do with subforums? I bet the backroom has plenty of eager candidates.

I normally charge extra for spankings and diaper changes.

We could always make Strike a mod. Somehow I passed the security checks. The nude scanner images were supposed to be scrubbed!

We always say we have a mature community.

Mature people are perfectly capable of policing themselves and don't need nannies.

In all honesty, thanks to the excellent bunch of people who are part of this community and the generally speaking outstanding way of interacting with each other here, I think it would be possible to run this place without moderators, except for maybe one or two to destroy the inevitable spambots.
