Thread: About skeletons and animations

    Default About skeletons and animations

I understand EB made new skeletons and animations. Is that correct?

I also understand skeletons and animations affect unit speed and combat. For example, some units may have faster/shorter attack animations so they get to attack more often.

Also, some skeletons may have long reaching weapons which can hit the enemy before it gets close enough to hit back.

Can anyone shed some light on how EB skeletons and animations affect combat?

I'm not sure about the combat aspect. I don't expect that it (speed and reach) would significantly affect the performance.

The skeletons do definitely affect speed though, I've tested this myself once. Peltasts and Ipphikrathian (sp) hoplites both have the trait "fast moving" while Ekridomoi hoplites do not. However peltasts and ekridomoi are actually about as fast, whereas Ipphikrathians are noticably slower.
