Maybe it depends on how much corruption you had before the lynch? And that lynching innocents can't push you above one corruption?

so i'm really starting to question what the scum are up to; clearly one of the scums decided to go for khaan but with just 1 other non-khaan attack the other scum must have a simple entirely different focus.

I got 3 lynch votes and got corruption for the first (killing a human is a burden for the soul, etc). So unless Jarema has forgotten to give me more, you either only gain 1 corruption or can only go from 0 -> 1 through lynchings. Or lynching scum counts different.
That would be for the theory that 1 lynch -> 1 corruption, 2 more lynches -> 2 corruption, 3 more lynches -> 3 corruption etc. It doesn't seem to work that way.
We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

0-1 sounds correct. Something you're not saying Riedquat?

That's the same with me. One corruption for my first wrong lynch (NinjaCow) but none for my second (Ignoramus). However, note that not only does Riedquat claim to have not gained corruption, he also appears to be claiming he started with 0 corruption:
