Default Children in Iron Age warfare

    Greetings all,

I have been considering writing a paper reviewing the evidence for the participation of children in Iron Age (Celtic, Celtiberian, British and Irish) warfare. I was wondering if anyone could offer sites of interest, comparable practices in Germanic or Mediterranean cultures, or authors who have expressed an interest in this area?

Depends upon what we mean by 'children'. What we consider children may not have been considered so by other civilisations - we can see this in the way young girls - who would in most instances be considered children by modern standards - were pf marriage-able age.
