CTD help

Hi,

I am playing as Carthage, and its about 248 BC. I get a crash to desktop during the loading screen before a battle, and its occuring within an hour of every session. I start the game up again and can usually load the battle without problems. I have been able to continue my campaign but I have had to work around these constant CTD. Are there any reasons for this? One more thing, some time ago I got bored and started editing the original RTW files (unit stat changes, adding units from BI, new custom units etc), would this effect EB in any way?

Yes. It is neccesary to have clean Rome Vanilla data to run properly EB.

Can I reinstall RTW without reinstalling EB?

And keep in mind that EB is not the most stable mod in the world, so some CTDs are to be expected.

@AGM I've never tried it, but sounds logical and not risky.
