Aaron Tippin is one of if not the most undervalued and unappreciated mainstream country music singer of all time. It is almost therapeutic to listen to that guy's music.

I will pray for you Vuk.

Now, if I may vent a little for my own problems...

I have turned into a poor creature, debilitated by minor but frustrating ailments. Most of my life I have felt this way I do now - that things are not sustainable, that I am fighting against the way of things. I cannot hold down jobs or maintain friendships - any future just seems too fragile and unstable to invest in it. My life has a strange twilight-zone feel to it... everything seems indeterminate; temporary and fleeting, yet somehow unchangeable. An unending impermanence. I find my life littered with such paradoxes. That having addressed, and deconstructed, and understood my OCD, I somehow find it holds a greater sway over me than ever before. That after I deliberately left my old world of 'God and Ulster', I somehow find myself more deeply immersed in that culture than ever before - I suppose it is fitting that someone like myself should embrace a way of life so hopelessly and irreversibly in decline. And I cannot help but feel, that I am headed in a similar direction myself.

    What to do?

An old coworker just talked to her mother who manages a restauraunt and got me an interview. She is hiring shift leads and a kitchen head. With luck, my period of unemployment may be short lived.

Make sure to brush up on the important parts, and then you will knock them dead (not literally) and you end up on your feet again.

    As for my news:
I just bought my first car, it is a Toyota Yaris. It was owned by some old woman since brand-new, so full service history at the garage I use and buying it from, and only 30,000 miles on the clock and it is 11-12 years old. So it is well looked after and virtually 'brand new' since there is basically no wear and tear on it. According to online 'what is the value of my car' quotes, getting it around £600 cheaper than they price it at.

If airlines are going to push your flight by six hours they should allow you to reschedule at no extra cost. My layover for my upcoming flight just went from a reasonable six hours to an unreasonable twelve hours.

Thankfully I bought trip cancellation insurance so I can cancel and get a full refund, but still this is ridiculous.

I have been giving my apartment a complete overhaul. I have cleaned my apartment as on a mission and still have more to do. I also plan to clean the years of chain smoking off my walls and paint them. It is going to be a lot of work. The sloth of many years of chain smoking/heavy drinking is still evident. But soon, the whole place will look brand new, I am hoping. The carpet, well, that I haven't come to a conclusion concerning yet. But we will see.

No before. Just imagine white walls that are now brown with cigarette dust and other signs of neglect. If I can find the cord for my camera to attach it to the pc (believe me, I really let this place go when I was a drunk) I will Fragony. Be patient though, I have a lot of work to do. :) I will put them in this thread rather than the gallery thread unless otherwise noted. :)

Sigh... This 3D modeling assignment is really hard. Basically I have to make a model of my own face. That isn't too bad, but the modeling software that I have to use(Maya) is really buggy and unusable. It's going to be a fun week making this.

If I had free time right now I'd be reading my new book that came in the mail or hanging out with a friend. But I can't do those things because I have 14 math assignments due by midnight this Monday. So instead I wasted the whole day on the internet. I've accomplished nothing, not even recreation.

Not really a random thought, but this week has been quite excellent so far! On Sunday I passed my last final for my summer courses, earning me my associates degree! Then today was a triple whammy: I had an awesome lunch with great friends (and a lovely woman), went to an awesome concert, and my older brother got engaged!

My struggle with internal hemorrhoids is like the never-ending story. For years I've had to watch how I sit and I've pretty much gave up sitting at all, turned into a paranoid manic watching every crumb I eat to keep things 'regular', and now I'm a full-blown hermit who stands around the house all day, kneeling while leaning on a stool and taking hot baths.

brb can't work and can't claim jobseekers
brb even stopped going to church
brb can constantly feel my back passage, not even pain just like something is 'there'
brb go mad on bad days when they are really problematic
brb doctors were distracted for years by a huge pilonidal cyst-turned open wound that wouldn't heal and so didn't address the hemorrhoids
brb was expecting to get banding procedure this week but doctor wants to do more a more thorough exam to consider the more extensive THD surgery (seals up all the veins that feed the hemorrhoids).

It's such an ignominious problem to have. Why can't I have more socially acceptable ailments?

I mean, seriously.... Irritable Bowel Syndrome, an abscess in my 'crack', internal hemorrhoids, spastic rectal muscles, proctalgia fugax spasms that often wake me up with intense pain... you guessed where.

Truth be told out of the five problem three are tied to the internal hemms which should be easy to treat. And the IBS has been well under control for years. But its just the bad combination of things.

I should never have got so down by all this but it has just been the perfect storm.

Also, I want this years award for "TMI post of the year".

Whose other end are you concerned about? Mine (what I have been saying in the Backroom)? Yours (in terms of what you say or having dental problems)?

Somehow I never understand anything you write. I think we are just on different wavelengths.

What makes being alone terrible is that when you finally latch onto another person to associate with, the statistical reality is that you likely will invest much more into them than they will into you, which is unhealthy and can be harmful for the relationship.

The only recourse is to befriend an entire neighborhood at once. Draw out the inhabitants with fire, then reach out and meet them one-by-one.

    Thanks for the advice monty.

On another note. I am pretty sure you can program a computer to take a drivers license and scan it to see if the person can buy alcohol. Does the law say alcohol can only be distributed by a human? I really don't want to wait in the only human register line behind 15 people just for a six pack when there are 3 self checkout stations open.

In the self-checkouts here I've always found it tells you to wait for an assistant to check your ID. It makes me do this even for things like paracetamol.
