    Arrow Steam Summer Sales

    It has begun.

Or as I like to think of this time of year, 'Tis the season when Steam tempts Lemur into spending way too much money on games he does not need.

Yep. Good. Keep me the hell away from these sales. I'm amazed by how quickly rational thought leaves my brain, and I start gibbering about how I can't afford NOT to buy it at that price!

Anyone played "Don't Starve"? That appeals to me most out of what I currently see on sale.

Also, if I see Prison Architect go on sale I may have to buy that....

Vote for Dishonored for the next sale. I need to pick that up and $10 is an appealing price.

Dont starve is a fantastic little game thats worth its full price. On sale it is more than worth it and you would be a fiend not to purchase it.

It seems like they don't want me to buy stuff; I always get this message:

There seems to have been an error initializing or updating your transaction. Please wait a minute and try again or contact support for assistance.
Contacting support turns out to be a very frustrating experience, with the pages loading sloooooo...w.

Meh. For the first time, I'm an unsatisfied Steam customer.

Nah. Not that interested in such aged series with mediocre-to-failure titles here and there. I'd rather use my money up on the useless DLCs of the latest one.

Thanks for answers though. Not missing it next time.

I am not sure what the rave about Prison Architect is. It looks interesting and it is by the team who did Darwinia and Uplink, two games I loved when I was younger, but it is completely outpriced itself. The full game without discount should be £7, on par with Reus or Faster than Light opposed to £14 'on sale'.

It's a much more colorful and eye friendly version of Dwarf Fortress with a separate theme. There's a considerable appeal there but I still agree that it's much too expensive for a game that isn't finished yet.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
but then again I did pay full price for Crusader Kings II!

Well, CK2 is a different kettle of fish. It isn't a low budget indy game, such as this. I understand why there might be some appeal to the game, I don't see why it isn't priced similar to Reus for example, it is that sort of quality (Well, should be, when completed).

I loved Prison Architect (and paid full price for it), as long as you think of it as a sandbox after you get everything set up and running. Paying in on the ground floor with a constantly-expanding Alpha and a great Dev team that guarantees me the full copy on release is something that I am willing to do.
Rest in Peace TosaInu, the Org will be your legacy
