this is actually fairly typical in games. with stw, they put out the demo first, then made a new version and did some re-working of the engine and other stuff to give a final cut to the game. but, a number of the old or intended things were left in the code or files. it happens. if you compare the textures in the demo version to the final game, you'll find textures in there not used in the final and vice versa. a game often goes thru many transformations before it hits the shelves and lots of times things that arent actually IN the game are still in parts of the code or files. it's really not that unusual. i think the hospital in stw is also a case of that happening. you can find references to it but it just didnt make the final cut.
