this has been my afternoon, teaching myself the modelling part while class is just learning the software. ALWAYS wanted to design and create my own weapons and architecture so made this...not finished texturing of course but its a start.....

just a couple walls. Have a dragon temple I want to do, I can use the statues ive had forever but the walls and gate need to be custom made.

Sounds interesting. I hope you do post it when it is complete. I do admire interesting architecture, but would have no idea as to how to design it.

Thanks guys, this is Kormael Corumvar...The Dark Dragon...legend has it that long ago the elder Corumvar mated with a dragon, and ever since the marked of the family children were paired by soul with a young dragon.

I'm going to assume the dragon could change into the form of a hot looking male/female (depending upon the sex of the "elder Crumvar"). Yes, I'm definitely going with that assumption.

That's wild stuff. Is it from some form of literature? I am unfamiliar with this stuff. Interesting though.

This is my own story. Yes dragons may at times take other forms, one such mated with the elder...not every child is fated to be joined so to speak but some are chosen to bind on many levels with a corresponding member of the dragon clan. Kormael was so fated. He was 'taken' controlled mind and body and turned into something of a monster, and then by a turn of events released. He went from having everything he was, believed in and held dear taken from him and replaced by darkness so foul...he did many things...but then perhaps the greatest evil was done to him, the darkness was lifted and he was released, he has full knowledge of everything that happened, he must live with what he has done and must search for what he will become...in many fantasy literatures stories are rather unrealistic, then we had Glen Cooks series that brought us real, gritty, dark fantasy. Ericksons Malazan series took that vein and did it justice...thus is this story...

...want cloth for a temple pic and cloth has always been hard to get...so delved into nCloth in Maya today and here is a crude flag test I made based on a youtube tutorial. Can run the file in Maya to any point in the sim, stop, and save the object...it`s Christmas early :)

The only one I recognize is the last one of yours at 2:56 - and still my all time favorite (On the Edge of a Dream?)!! Nice treasure trove of images!

Thank you...its funny how many pics ive done over the last few years, how many I would like to redo and improve, how many are lost, and how many are planned. But they still crop up here and there.
Have a Merry Christmas brother. Better things coming. Modelling class starts the 31st of this month, should be a blast.

Reminds me in a way of Shogun: Total War and the image of the Tranquil Garden building.

Merry Christmas Dimeolas (same to you Gregoshi!), looking forward to see what comes up next year!

Merry Christmas my friend, this is a wip of sorts, savd it for later so I could finish the lighting but the sacefile corrupted and will do it over. Between work and my bro and his new wife in town wont have time to do any artwork til new years eve, but will try some architectural modelling. Take care :)

That is what I like about your images. I can look at a painting or picture and think "That is nice/good/great." But with your pictures I think "I wish I was THERE!"

Exactly. The temple beside the water is a beautiful scene, I'm pretty sure there are a couple of temples worldwide where you could go and meditate in peace.
