I'd suggest that - in accordance with the rules of the game - anyone not using their chips - ie. betting the limit - should be viewed with the highest suspicion.

I think it is not good to abstain day one, as this prevents town from getting any information.
If GSC is lynched, I will probably lose chips I wagered on him. Just as I would waste my vote in vanilla mafia game.

All these votes/wages piling on a bandwagon provide no information at all and by wasting my chips in the same way I am simply givin up voting power that the town might need later in the game...

Even if we were sure GSC is scum we should lynch him with as little an amount of chips as possible just in case he does end up being town and all these townies who piled on him lose all their chips (= voting power). Remember what Pizza said in the rules: It is entirely possible for the Mafia to win without even outnumbering the town. They just need to have more chips than us.

The whole point is simply that chips must be used tactically, where they can best influence the lynch for the lowest cost.

What that means is that each agent will be constantly correcting their wager to account for new information.
