The new governor of Thessalonica has instituted a wonderful policy concerning the plaque. All those infested have been shipped off to a warmer place-Cairo. That dry desert air will do wonders for them and the Sultan won't mind. . The remaining population -all 700 of them- have been put to work on the new Cathedral
