Seriously, the Vukster deserves to be a senior member. Who else would we have to keep the backroom alive with discussion during slow periods?

    RIP unwritten code :(
There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

Either way mate dont pay the mods any bribe even if they ask for it. Dont beleive the rumours that they take the bribe to make you a senior member. Dont get me wrong they still take the bribe but you get no senior membership. I am still waiting for a refund.

Those with unpopular opinions will never make senior member, no matter how long they have been around, or how much they contribute. I figured that out years ago.

I suppose that explains why senior members and staff agree with each other so often.

The very title of the thread in which it was posted shows what a silly statement that was.

If you really do think that, I recommend looking at the 'Senior Member' list. You will quickly discover that not to be the case.

What is true, those who regularly accrue infractions will not be 'Senior Member'.

But when most of those infraction have been earned because mods (one in particular whose initials included a B and a Q) disagreed with said member, isn't my statement true?
Also, what you said cannot be true, or else ACIN could never be a senior member. With how many times he willingly breaks just about every rule possible, that dude has to have racked up a million infractions. If not, then mods haven't been doing a very good job.

They even made me a moderator.. you never know with these admins what kind of insanities they pull. One of them suggested I was a Stalinist, so I was able to rule the Backroom with an ironfist. I think they didn't realise that 'left-wing' doesn't mean a lover of authoritarian methods!

Well I got the promotion, and nobody ever agrees with me on anything, ever. At least Xiahou, rvg and ICantSpellDawg tend to fall into your camp in terms of beliefs...

Meh, I couldn't give a toss about Senior Membership, I would have declined if it had been offered instead of thrust upon me. Vuk can have mine.

You have assured me that I am the evil mod who persecutes you. Now you're seeing someone else?

Bah, why did I ever think I was special.

I bet you say this to all the mods, you shameless hussy.

It's ok. There, there. You can be mean to me if you like. I'll curse your name so it echoes throughout the mountains.

I have accepted that senior membership is out of my reach. With some of my opinions I guess they don't want to legitimize me... I'm totally OK with it though, as it's probably best for the forum at large

YEY, I just realized that I celebrate 10 years as active member...
