Ok, this has happened to me late in my last two campaigns. First occurrence was during Patch 3, second was Patch 5 (last night). In both cases, it happened like this:
During AI turn, a battle pops up, initiated by AI. The camera orientation turns away from true north, and zooms in on the two army icons. After battle resolution, the camera then normally zooms back out and reorients toward north. In these cases, however, because the battle occurs during AI turn, the AI immediately starts jumping ahead to next actions, and the camera reorientation gets interrupted and hangs up.
This camera orientation stays put...even during my turn. I'm then stuck playing the rest of the campaign (however many turns that is) with a skewed camera orientation. About 30 degrees or so to the northwest.
This last occurrence, I reloaded the last save three times, hoping that the camera would function correctly after the battle, or maybe perhaps the AI would choose not to fight that battle at all. Didn't work. So now I'm breezing along with Pontus looking at the map from a new angle.
It's really not that big a deal, and actually kind of interesting to look at all the campaign map landmasses from a different angle. But it's clearly an unintentional bug.
Has this happened to others? Is there a way to clear it?
