As long as there is no effect on the PC version of the game I have no problem with it. In fact I can only imagine that it will increase the number of TW players out there, which is a good thing.

Some would argue that impact has already taken place. As for increasing the numbers playing TW games, I can see that as a goal CA might have, it's not one of mine. Further, there's no upside in the distraction or diminished resources applied to game design for the purposes of porting TW to mobile or the couch for me, I have absolutely no interest in playing PC games on either, therefore from my personal perspective I see zero upside and only potential downside here.
For all I care, Steam can do everything and once they're done doing everything, I'll play Rome from my couch. I have to figure out how to use a mouse and keyboard from my couch but I guess time will tell.
I already play total war (and all other games for that matter) in my 42 inch tv. No need to go bigger or move from my rocking chair (<== no joke ;))
