Default Community Driven 1 Character vs Environment Game?

    Hi All

Way back ages ago when I first saw this place there were a few community driven 1 character vs environment games which I found quite amusing and fun. I am thinking of hosting one myself as they are super simple to run and don't require huge amounts of effort on either the Host or the Players part.

So I'm just gauging the opinion here, would you guys be interested in something like this again, I have a plot in mind but due to the nature of the game you guys could fully ignore that if you wanted and just explore the (real) world haha.

Its super lax there are no roles no commitments, all the players will be controlling the main character by simply posting what they think the character should do next, I then read the posts gauge the general community concensus and do the action most popular and thus the story progresses.

Does this make sense? Haha I'm trying to explain it but failing lol.

    Basic Format:
I do a write up of a character and their surroundings/situation/whatever else I include in the write up. This is followed by a 24 period of community discussion/action suggestions.

After 24 hours I then read the thread and all the posts and take the general direction from the community and "perform" that action, I then do another write up of the outcome of that action with all new things that happened etc. Then it starts again the community reads the write up and discuss/suggest the next action :)

    Simple enough?

So would you all be interested in this? I'll probably do it anyway as even if it bombs its not a big deal as its not like I'll be investing all my time into or anything :)

    Cheers

I say go for it, if you're ready for the time commitment.

In the past these games were pretty popular and usually gathered a pretty loyal player-base from the get-go. Usually the reason for them ending was, as I remember it, the host losing interest and stopping the updates.

Yeah I'm gonna set a time limit for the events behind the scenes so the Community can in fact "lose" if they care that is lol. From what I can think of in my mind it should be fairly easy to run.

I'd be in for something like this - no matter how long they last, they're always a nice diversion and fun whilst you're playing.
