    Trouble in Grasslake
Thom’s patrol has been laying the Scent Border out past Wolfepointe when they return to Grasslake at the beginning of the summer. As they approach the town, Thom’s friend Harold, who lives in Grasslake, comes running through the marsh grass, howling for help. He tells the patrol, “A giant monster! A monster in Grasslake! Tearing down the town, eating mice, crushing my brewery!"

Sloan's sworn enemy, Lester the Ex-Tenderpaw, is also in Grasslake.

A giant monster! Instantly Kyle's senses go into overdrive. Readying his spear, he scans the surroundings for signs of the monster, in an effort to identify the threat.

    EDIT: Profile Pic updated :)

"obviously the monster is not right here," groans Harold while rolling his eyes at Thom. "It's in the town".

As the patrol makes their way to town, they spot a gigantic snapping turtle wedged itself between Harold’s brewery and Grasslake’s bakery. Currently, it appears to be sunning itself as well as basking in the heat of the bakery.
The mice of Grasslake have gathered in a hushed and horrified crowd at the far end of the town square. Startled, they scatter once more when the smug old monster eyes the mice, clearly thinking about its next meal.

At the sight of the mouse guard, the mayor, the baker Honeywind and Lester Emerge from their hiding places. The mayor clutches Nathaniel: "The monster has crawled up out of the lake and beached itself in the town square. It has crushed the wharves, sunk a bunch of fishing boats and will surly do even more damage next. "Not my bakery, not my lives work!" Shrieks Honeywind.

No need to fear, mr honeywind. I will distract the monster by throwing small rocks at his head. He will hopefully follow me and I will try to shake him off when we are a couple of miles away from the town.

(OOC: Am I doing this right?)

Our first priority must surely be to protect the mice of the town, followed by protecting the town itself and then neutralising this beast. Providing we do not drive it into a blind rage with our actions Nathaniel's plan therefore seems a good one. I happen to have a bottle of brew upon my person, and as much as it would pain me to part with it I could use it to set the turtle on fire if we drew it far enough away from the town. This might damage it enough for us to get some blows in, killing it or at least teaching it to fear mice. Or it could cause it to try and seek revenge at the town. Still, Who Dares Wins, right?

'Drawing the turtle away from Grasslake might prove tricky' said Kyle. 'These beasts will stick close to the water, and this one looks like he's made himself comfy. However, we know that they will eat anything... perhaps we can use that to our advantage?'
