Edric Dayne had been ordered by his "King" to march on Griffin's Roost, even though he would rather remain safe and sound inside Stonehelm.
The Dornish host that Edric had brought with him, consisted mainly of spearmen and the son of the so called King Yronwood.
The host wast spotted by the scouts from Griffin's Roost, a raven was sent immediately to Storm's End.
In Storm's End Prince Gulian decided to meet the Dornish head on. He assembled his men and rode out towards Griffin's Roost in a great pace.
When he arrived at Griffin's Roost he gathered the garrison and continued his march against the Dornish, the Prince was unsure what to fell. He was unsure on how the responsebility of all these men under his command, that one mistake could cost the lives of hundreds of his countrymen and one right choice could lead him to victory.
The Prince come close to the Dornish in the morning, he stopped on a hill several hundred yards away from the Dornish.
The Prince was wary, he had to make a choice and he had to make it quick.
He disbanded his horse and told his men to gather around him.
Greetings fellow countrymen!
I lead you today for a reason, recently we used to have a close friend. This friend was trusted, he never demanded much and the King himself thought that our former ally would remain loyal. The Dornish proved to be a bunch of honorableness dogs!
They spat on us and attacked us, now they may have taken land from us but I can promise you that in short time that time will be no longer.
I have never fought in real battle, most of you haven't either. We will change that today, I am not experienced and I have won no glories.
I ask you fight, I ask you to fight so that we can change this, so that we can give these Dornish dogs a real fight and show them what we truly are made of!
The enemy is out there, marching towards OUR lands! They have become arrogant of their victories and their betrayal. Trust me and I will lead you, in good days and bad. I will lead you.
Today is the day we charge, the day when we will show these bastards our strength!
Let us show them Our Fury!!!!
Charge!
And so the Prince charged, not knowing what to expect of himself but still determent to rout the Dornish from his lands.
The Dornish marched on the road, the Yronwood boy and Edric Dayne rode in the middle. The Dornish who had been closest to the hill had started to hear the roars of the incoming Stormlanders. The sun was bright and the Prince had it in his back, the Dornish could not see well in the sun and was to slow to form their ranks.
When the Prince himself as the first man to draw blood attacked their ranks on horseback, the Dornish had started to loose heart. Never had they seen such a large host of Stormlanders, they tried to resist but it was really pointless. The spearmen from the Stormlands broke through the thin lines of the Dornish.
When this happened the Prince took his Knights and stormed towards Edric and Yronwood. Edric and Yronwood was smart enough to see that the Prince knew how to fight, knew how to lead and that he wanted kill or capture them. They rode south with their tails between their legs like true Dornish men. Their host followed them, but not before many of the Dornish host was charged down and killed.
The battle was won, the Kingdom of the South will have its revenge. Even though when it does not hate its enemy, because that effects a man's judgement.
Also took the unguarded Tumbleton and is currently sieging some castle in Dorne.
Golden Grove, The Ashford, and Felwood all were taken with overwhelming odds and only one Dornishman fell in all three battles combined. A testament to the strength of the Dornish and the weaklings of the Stormlands. Felwood was renamed Deadwood by King Anders Bloodroyal as not a man, woman or child was left alive inside its walls.
Lancel himself has strike back the treacherous ironborn lead by the man who has married his daughter to strenghten the relations between our two families. After Prince Hilar has left the siege of Faircastle and flew to his ships the rest of the army under the leadership of Maron Harlaw couldn't stand against the Lannister's army and also take the retreat to their fleet.
Took a empty Feelwood, defeated a few Yronwood scouts, defeated the rebels outside Stonehelm and took the "Strand of Tears" and renamed it to its correct name, Salt Shore.
So Ape, what would I have to do to save my son who is currently besieged in Stonehelm? I'll wait for your response before posting my turn as it will greatly affect my turns outcome.
House Hoare is up. White Harbor has fallen to house Arryn, and the last scion of house Manderly has been slain, completing the process begun long ago by the Gardeners.
