    we should give CA some credit because at the end of the day they are really trying fix the game,a game that was terrible at release date,but they are slowly gettin' there aren't they?
    CA doesn't deserve all of the blame for R2's FUBAR'd condition at release...I'm sure they had an ultimatum from SEGA to get it released when it was, or else

    But for me, and plenty of other folks from what I see, they will never "get there" because to fix the major issues would require some hefty re-coding, and in all honesty, a new game engine, neither of which is going to happen.

    Like I said, when R2 becomes available on disc in the bargain bin, I will consider purchasing it. Until then, I'm more than happy to continue enjoying R1 with all the fine mods available

    I don't actually mind the battles so much anymore. They're not as disorganised as they were in the beginning, although I am playing with a mod that reduces the kill rates so much that you have to do stuff like flanking or risk running out of battle time. Two spear units of equal quality can probably go at each other for an hour or more =x

    I think CA still needs to explain why they completely ditched the alpha ui.

    Or that "pre-alpha screenshot" of Carthage that was more photoshopped than a magazine cover of Madonna.
    The art of war, then, is governed by five constant
    factors, to be taken into account in one's deliberations,
    when seeking to determine the conditions obtaining in the field.

    These are: (1) The Moral Law; (2) Heaven; (3) Earth;
    (4) The Commander; (5) Method and discipline.

    Sure Myth.

    @OP

    Splendid mod, I'll probably try the RTR one first as I've never heard RTR mod's soundtrack.

    Forgot to post this yesterday :P

    I like how the mod captures some of R1's atmosphere. When I play R1 I play really rushed.

    The hype they built up around Rome 2 was pretty amazing. It worked out well for them. They sold more in pre-orders than S2 did over its lifetime. Great job. I wont be pre ordering any TW title ever again after this.
