    Default Assassin's Creed

More or less, this thread will focus on the series as a whole.

So welcome fellow Assassins! Welcome to our little AC den over here on the Org, where you'll be able to discuss Altair, Ezio, Connor and Edward, along with the soon-to-be-unleashed Arno of the French Revolution. The next installment will be called Assassins Creed: Unity, which you can find the trailer below.

And on that note, who's a fan? And who played the last one, which I am currently enjoying, Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag?

Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

    Proud

    Been to:

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.

A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?

Series is lost to me, everything falls apart when you screw up, you can so easily fight your way out of any situation. Getting caught should be a game of cat and mice like in Thief. Stealth done wrong. If you play it right it can be a good game, but it's almost impossible to screw up when you screw up. The game should be much much harder, having to face two guards should be the worst proposition ever, not a slash-fest.

I like the second one and the free for all multiplayer mode in Brotherhood was really really awesome. Beyond that, it's just more and more and more of the same, ad infinitum. I got bored about 2 hours into the 3rd one, tried the one where you are a pirate but didn't last long there either (add to that that that game was really crap on the 360 and XBox1, like not really optimised or whatever, basically the sound and animations were out of synch all the time and stuff). The new one with the French revolution looks interesting but that's about it. They all looked interesting ^^

Played the 1st one to completion, liked it, seemed pretty fresh and interesting, with a suggestion of an untold story and world I could get into.

The 2nd one actually completely delivered on the promise of the 1st one revealing a world that really was interesting and going somewhere it felt like.

Then the team that had that vision left the company, the result is incoherent trash recycled over and over in a new guise to maintain revenue from the franchise.

Would never purchase any game with AssCreed written on it now and I'm very disappointed they didn't see there way through to "finish the story" they had begun. But then that's also true of much of television. How often does a singular vision get to screen successfully? Rarely. Which is why we almost never see the likes of Babylon 5 or The Prisoner. Same applies to game IP.

There is a story? Personally, I didn't really care an awful lot for the stuff that happened outside of this virtual reality thing or whatever it is haha.

Yeah, a rather interesting one in fact. And it took place inside the virt and outside.
