If the missing elite unit did not appear until later (e.g. Marian or Imperial Roman reformed units) then their absence doesn't concern me - such units are not needed for the first release IMO.

So I hope the team has concentrated their efforts on completing the Hellenic and Carthaginian elite units rather than the Roman, barbarian or steppe ones...

Sorry, I'm still thinking EB1. Problem with migrating Pergamon is that they're an Eastern Greek faction, where Syracuse is Western Greek. As is Epeiros, so you'll probably have more regional compatibility and a wider range of troops available. Not least because Syrakousai is Expansion region for Epeiros (since Epirotes have been kings there before).

I figure a new Sweboz campaign would be cool, get to see the new units in action. But I still plan to play a host of customs just to test all the factions out.

Probably the Lusotannans for the first campain (wouldn't gess that, would you), but I will probably end up doing a short test campain and then switch to see how the other factions are before settling to a more long campain.
