Either Massylia or Lugiones. I've always had a soft spot for underdog, technologically backward-ish factions.

I'm not too bothered about incomplete rosters. I imagine the EB team will have completed each faction's roster for the early-middle years of the game, rather than complete one single faction's roster for the entire game, then moving onto completing the next faction's roster, they will have done them all for the early years.
Sounds logical to me... right?
So since I NEVER get past the first 50-years of a campaign in an EB game (because by that time I've played that game for like 30 hours and want to try a new faction and feel the feeling of starting afresh again) an incomplete late-era roster won't bother me.
EBII has finally released. All hail the EBII team!
Absolutely no idea... Faction maturity will factor in... Taksasila looks tempting.... I guess that's the one if I am satisfied with how far along it is completion-wise.

What have you people got against the Arevaci?

To be honest I will probably just check out ~5 Faction rosters in custom play. Start a game as a unique... probably Taksashila, Nabatu or Arevaci, loose horribly and end up starting a serious campaign as a Greek faction... Probably Bosporos.

"People called Romanes they go the House"
- Alaric the Visigoth
It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR
I didn't vote for them because I frankly don't know much about them. They're an unknown brand compared to the classic factions we know from EB1. When I go to the supermarket I usually buy Coca Cola, but I pick up an unknown soft drink brand only when I'm feeling particularly curious that day.
Interesting analogy.

Nothing I'll vote for them, where are they ?
But knowing myself I'll probably try 3 or 4 different factions for the first 48 hours before forcing myself to focus on one.
Just like when I'm in a buffet. Except that I don't stay 48 hours in front of a cold buffet (or I have no memory of it).

Part of me wants to play as the Romani, but all of those new factions are just so tempting to try...maybe I'll give the Pritanoi or Pergamon a swing.
But, chances are I'm going to head straight for the Romans, I doubt that I will even be able to control my hand!
Oh, and hi everyone, I'm new to the Org. I guess that's a thing, introducing yourself.
