Game won't save video and audio settings.

Every time I load EBII I keep having to redo my settings. I have to reduce the graphics to make it run on my laptop and I have tested this by opening the game, changing the settings, repeatedly clicking save settings button and then exiting the game. Next time I load, its all back to default settings. What file can I edit to make sure my custom settings do get overwritten?

You can edit them in the EBII.cfg file in medieval ii total war/mods/ebii, it will still override them but override them to your preferred settings.
