Old skin cohors imperatoria

Hello everyone, I'd like to change the skin of the cohors imperatoria, with the old versions 0.8 in my 1.2 campaign. Is it possible?

It's been a while, but if I recall correctly there are mods that do that. I found this one (link) by searching the archive. There appears to be an update by someone else as well (link). However, both mods were for EB 1.1. They probably still work on EB 1.2, but you should create back-ups of the relevant files before installing them, just to be sure. Check out the threads as well, to see if anyone encountered problems in EB 1.2.

That's not a lot of detail. Post #36 in the fix thread describes a solution for implementing the fix in v1.2. If that doesn't work, I am afraid I can't help you.

The game crashes even with the 1.1, when I start the custom battle it crashes.

I am afraid I don't understand you. This mod is intended for EB v1.1. You are using EB v1.2, right? Apparently, the mod doesn't quite work for EB v1.2, but the instructions in this post should correct that.

If that doesn't work, I am afraid I am out of ideas.

I do not understand all this trouble in changing skinof one unit.
I had only to change the skin of the cohors imperatoria in my EB 1.2 campaign.

Maybe I'm wrong to copy the file in EB, I'm not an expert on modding, can you tell me what exactly I need to replace?

Edit:There I did it! It seems to run without problems in 1.2, even without that solution.

Glad to hear it worked!

As for what caused all the trouble: the problem isn't the skin, it's the model (the "shape" of the soldier onto which the skin is pasted). Both EB v1.2 and the skin mod changed the model names, so the game couldn't find the matching model any more.

Just to be sure: start a custom battle with a Cohors Imperatoria, Cohors Evocata and Cohors Preatoriana in YOUR army. If there are any further model problems, you should see them there. If not, enjoy EB!

I tried Cohors imperatoria and Cohors Evocata, the Praetorians are missing, but I'll try them soon, I received the reform in the campaign.
Europa Barbaororum is very fantastic, i love it.
