Thread: Bugs I've noticed in my first 100 turns

Default Bugs I've noticed in my first 100 turns

    1. Wooden walls: Gates seem to jump entirely back from their gateways when hit with a battering ram. I seem to recall this happening with other mods and possibly the base game.

    2. Recruitment: The number of recruitment slots in settlements seems to jump around like a jack rabbit, particularly in Hellenistic settlements with Hellenistic government. Most of the time, they get one slot, but seemingly on random turns, they get 4 to 6 slots depending on size. Allied governments of all types get one or two slots based on their size.

    3. Storms inland due to lakes: Mentioned elsewhere repeatedly, I'm sure.

    4. "Still Fighting" bug from EB1 may have carried over a little, sometimes it requires some work to get a unit to disengage from corpses. Though it may just be a case of one or two blokes left alive that I can't see from a unit that's already buggered off.

    5. CTD when closing unit description screen while city recruitment screen is open. "Unspecified error" each time. Doesn't happen every time, nor is it game-breaking stuff, but it's there.

    2. Is not a bug, you have higher recruitment in Winter, not on random turns.
It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
    Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR

What is that supposed to simulate?

Winter quarters, and the fact that most fighting men were idle in winter, and thus available to be recruited ready for the new fighting season in spring. There's an advisor announcement in turn 2 telling you about it.

I saw no such message, though it might have been blocked by the "You have colonists ready" message that insists on popping up if I don't immediately build Hellenistic military colonies.

The increased Winter Recruitment is a feature mentioned somewhere as I was aware of it.

However the Colony Warning is the bug as after a certain number of turns it pops up EVERY TURN even if no colonists are available.

THE CTD is a constant, particularly with Rome, less so with Macedon. It usually involves the Individual unit screen, often when I'm deleting a series of AI auto builds it CTD's. It can also do it with stray clicks on other info pop-up screens.

I still suffer from the lack of Date on mainscreen banner.
