Default TW: Atilla Multiplayer -- any field reports, yet?

Hail and behold, a new Age has come to pass and the Huns rise in the East.

An old warrior walks the land, his tattered cloak and rusted armor covered in the dust and mud-spatter of countless roads. He searches for news of distant battles and whether the generals of old rise from their graves to fight again.

Is there any word, fellow soldiers, whether the warriors of old will rise to face this new challenge?

I actually havent heard too much about the MP in Attila. I think everyone is still too busy with the SP campaign to play MP much. All Ive heard is that its basically the same as Rome 2 and that the maps are very balanced.

The mulitplayer is ok, its at least stable at launch which is more than we can say for the last 3-4 titles.

The ERE Tagmata Cavalry are stupidly overpowered and need bringing down to the level of other Melee Cav

The long range archers mostly Gothics and Frank are decent as are Crossbows, but Cavalry Archers are terrible they need a major buff.
All missiles seem to have very low ammo which could be amended.
It is probably one of the worst TW I can recall in terms of missile power.

Swords Kill Spears, Spears slowly kill Cav, Axes kill Swords and Spears, Cav kill Swords.

They have altered the rate at which units tire and you can now trire your army out very quickly if u run, they do however recover quickly.

The Huns atm are well what can I say shite imo, they 2 great Inf units but most almost all the rest of their roster is complete and utter shite.

Top factions atm seem to be the Gothic nations, The Franks and Jutes.

All in all though its pretty good for a launch effort. Let the 15 patches commence :)

Ok, thanks for the details, Sp00n. I'm glad its at least stable. Sounds like it needs a fair amount of balancing but that's usually to be expected. Funny that cav archers would be underpowered seeing as how that was one of the Hun's strengths.

Do you know if 4v4's are stable? Are there enough people playing these days to support a 4v4 community?

4v4s are a bit unstable atm and need fixing in game and have troubles starting them.

The MP game is fast evolving missiles can be effective (still not Cav Arc) and the new factions have added more possible army setups to the game.

It feels closest to MTW MP to me, worth a try im enjoying it so far.

Saying Hi too. Thinking of getting Attila.
The strength of my arms, the power of my soul, the valour of my men... These all belong to the Fear Clan. I'm ready to fight in the name of the clan.
