Has anyone seen the AI ERE manage to hold off and/or beat the Sassanids? I only see the whole east covered in Persians in 3 different games as the WRE.

I'm not surprised. The Sassanids have about 3 full stack armies and their puppet states all have a full stack or more each. ERE on the other hand can muster about 3 full stacks with their economy and 2 of those have to stay in Greece to deal with all the invaders there. I'm thinking they might be a little bit OP at the moment.

Unless their units are grossly underpowered, like the eastern spearmen in Rome 1 and Rome 2, they rout in 3 seconds flat?

Didn't really play the ERE more then the first few turns so I have no idea how strong/weak the sassanid units are. However, in my WRE game, I've just wiped out the african minors and am considering sending 2 stacks towards Egypt to help deal with the sassanid plague.
