Not only that, the elite scattershot slingers are heavily armored and can even hold their own against average infantry. So while i wouldnt make my main line all elite scattershot skirmishers, I wouldnt be opposed to having 3-4 of them and then using them to back up my line in a fight where they are needed.

Also the Burgundian barbed lancers and skirmshers are rather good.

The Lay of Ybor on the other hand, leaves something to be desired, but its a good step in the right direction. Would have liked a longer event timeline (so its not happening all in the first 20 turns) and more options.
